Visualizations completed for a concept speedboat design – Studio Franco Gianni. Software used: 3ds Max, Vray, Photoshop, Magic Bullet Photo Looks. Higher resolution and studio shots to follow in awhile.
Amidst the pile of concepts involving cars, bikes and yachts comes a new kind of concept design, that of a new age spaceship.
The design for this goes to the creator. My duties were modelling the whole spaceship for which I used 3ds Max along with Vray for the renders. It was also a good chance to test the RailClone plugin from Itoo Software which proved to be invaluable for the creation of distinct splines that run through the spaceship.
The Barreltype – J was created with the intention of exploring a space age – futuristic means of single human transportation. Drawing heavily from vintage vehicles with the rivets and nuts and bolts, the Barrletype – J picked up from where the Karmelion left off to venture into a different level of design, that was clunky, yet stylish, raw, but powerful.
Ever since being published online, it has been featured online on Designboom and Inspiration Overflow.
Commissioned with visualizing the SC-154 catamaran from sketch drawings, the project was fairly extensive with the need for detailed exteriors and interiors along with outdoor and studio shots. The entire yacht was modeled and textured in 3ds max and rendered using Vray.
The design of the Super Cat 154 superyacht focuses on a vessel that is built to go anywhere in the world in an ultimate comfort, style and safety. The exterior and interior spaces have been created with socializing in mind, whether for relaxing, or for guests´ entertainment.
The animated video of the SC-154 is up on Vimeo. Do check it out following the link below.
The Karmelion was created as part of a competition for the CG Society feature, Automobiles of the Future in the style of Syd Mead. It was my first attempt at entirely conceptualizing and visualizing a concept vehicle and the challenge was extremely rewarding. This one ended up going onto the 3D Total Gallery and winning the 3D Total excellence award along with being published in 3D World, 3D Art and Design, Animation Reporter and other online portals.
Modeled and finished by me over a period of time are the following automobiles, most of them modelled in 3ds Max and rendered with Vray, my preferred tools of trade for awhile now.
This post contains an assorted mix of designs created by me over the years. You could classify this as being some of my earliest CG work, dating back to probably when I started dabbling in computer graphics and design.
From green pianos to furry characters, this is a mixed bag of nostalgia.
As many of you would have already noticed, my website has undergone a modest makeover, mainly due to a virus attack that left me with no option but to start from scratch. Here’s hoping the bugs stay out of this one to ensure a trouble free and pleasurable browsing experience.
Thanks for stopping by and do check out my projects and leave me a message. It would be great to hear from you.
